Из Письма Е.П. Блаватской к полковн[ику] Ол[ькотту], 1875
At first the detailed direction of her work was under the supervision of the Egyptian Brothers of whom the Chief is the Adept, who called himself Serapis Bey. Associated with him was another, Tuitit Bey, who is mentioned in the letter now printed. The former is the Chief referred to.
[англ.: В начале подробное направление её работы было под руководством Египетских Братьев, Глава которых есть Адепт, называвший себя Серапис Бей. С ним был связан другой — Тьюитит Бей, именно Он и упомянут в данном письме. Первый из них также назывался Главой.]

— В «Письмах Махатм» есть места, где указано, что утверждения Блав[атской] были справедливы, хотя они шли вразрез с мнением B[rother] Ser[apis].
— Нужно было ещё более утвердить её авторитет. Явление Блаватской — пример одиночества.
